Mike Lee: AG Eric Holder Owes House Judiciary Committee an Apology for Outburst

Breitbart News Network Washington Editor Jonathan Strong spoke to Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) at last weekend’s Freedom Summit in New Hampshire. Lee said Attorney General Eric Holder owed an apology to the House Judiciary Committee following his outburst in response to questioning by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), saying “You don’t want to go there, buddy.” 

“I don’t think that was appropriate," Lee said. "I think the Attorney General certainly owes that committee an apology, and he owes the committee the respect that goes along with responding to requests for documents.” 

He also spoke about the push to defund ObamaCare. He said it was the responsibility of Congress to take seriously their funding obligations. 

"This is a power that all Republicans in Congress should take very seriously, and should refuse to vote for anything that funds a program that the president’s implementing illegally and un-constitutionally," he added.
